When the legal team reviews the letters, they are looking for violations of the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) or the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). If there are violations in the letter or even violations in a phone call from these companies, the Attorneys will sue the creditor. Since the laws are put in place to protect you, the consumer, the Attorney is awarded their fees from the creditor and not from you.
